Registration information for local schools

Heritage announces registration dates

Registration forms have been placed on-line at the Heritage8.org website. All forms should be
printed out, completed and returned to the appropriate school office before the start of school on
Aug. 15, 2018. All payments and fees will be due during the fall registration dates. We are hopeful that this
process will allow you to have paperwork complete, so that registration can be a quicker process for
all.
Fall Registration Dates
Aug. 1, 2018: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
1:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Aug. 2, 2018: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
All registration is being completed at Heritage Elementary /Junior High School, located at 512 W.
First St., Homer.

District #169 announces registration dates

Registration dates for the 2018-19 school year will be August 2nd from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the Middle School cafeteria.   All parents need to register their child(ren) at this time.
Fees for all students, grades K-8, will be $75.00 per child and are payable at the time of registration.   If you are applying for a fee waiver of registration fees, you will be required to provide proof of income at registration.
Hot lunches will be served starting Thursday, August 15th  with daily lunch prices at $2.75 per day for students K-4 and $3.00 per day for students 5-8.  A la cart items are available at the Middle School during lunch for $0.25 - $2.00.  Breakfast is also available at $2.25 per day for all students.  Students may add money to their lunch accounts each morning in the Grade School office, in the cafeteria at the Middle School, or through a link on our web-site.
The following is required:
Kindergarten – physical, shot records, eye exam, official birth certificate & dental exam
2nd Grade – dental exam
6th Grade – physical, shot records & dental exam
New students to the District (out-of-state) – physical (Illinois form), shot records, eye exam, dental exam & official birth certificate.  You will need to provide proof of residency.
New students to the District (within the state of Illinois) – records from current school should have your health forms.  You will need to provide proof of residency.
Fall sports start dates are listed on our website (www.stjoe.k12.il.us) under the Extra Curricular tab at the top.
August 13th is Meet the Teacher/Open House (Kindergarten-4th: 6 p.m.-7 p.m. and 5th-8th: 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.)

registration dates
Registration for students who have moved into the district and did not register last spring will be held Monday, August 6, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon or 1 – 3 p.m.
Registration for 9th-12th graders will be conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 7 and 8, 2018 from 12 – 3 p.m or 5 to 8 p.m.
Parents of incoming freshmen are required to accompany their son/daughter and should bring a Course Request Verification report.  At that time, fees will be paid, schedules will be distributed and tours of the high school will be conducted.  All freshmen should bring their physicals with a complete list of immunizations received.
Class Connect for freshmen and parents will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 5:45 – 7:30 p.m.  Dinner and babysitting will be provided.   The textbook registration fee is $70.00 for all students.  Additional fees may be assessed as follows:
Handbook/Student Planner:  $6.00 (ALL students)
Agriculture and Industry Classes:  $25.00
Art Classes:  $25.00
Band and Chorus:  $20.00 per class
Band Instrument Rental (optional):  $30.00
Dual Credit/AP Class:  $25.00
Computer Classes:  $25.00
Driver’s Education Class:  $150.00
Foods and Nutrition Classes:  $15.00
Freshman Health/CPR Instruction:  $4.00
Heart Rate Monitor Strap Replacement Fee:  $14.50 (lost straps ONLY)
Physical Education Fee:  $4/semester
Physical Education Uniform:  $16.00
Physical Education Lock Rental:  $6.00
Science Lab Classes:  $25.00
Athletic Lock Purchase:  $6.00
Catastrophic Insurance Fee (Athletes ONLY):  $3.00
Sports Participation Fee:  $30.00 per sport with a maximum of $75.00 per student or $150.00 per family.
All fees will be assessed during fall registration when class schedules are distributed.  
Students qualifying for free or reduced lunch will not be assessed these fees.
Application for fee waivers may be obtained from the Principal’s office or the Superintendent’s office.
