Changes are coming to St. Joseph Country Christmas.
The event will no longer feature as many vendors and will instead focus on children’s activities.
The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce is asking businesses downtown to host open houses, give discounts or serve cookies and hot cocoa instead of having vendor space at the event.
The event will take place Dec. 8, 9 a.m. to noon at the American Legion Hall in St. Joseph.
Santa will arrive by fire truck at 9 a.m.
Children and their parents are invited to meet Santa and take their photo with him.
A local girl scout troop will also be sponsoring children’s activities and children can color a picture to be run in the Leader.
Those interested in having vendor spaces should contact the Leader at nmaberry@news-gazette.com.
